Craps Strategy: Win Big Times
Wanting to come up with a winning craps strategy is easy when you understand the strategies that successful gamblers use. There are many different ways that people win at craps, and these strategies can be used to create your own winning craps strategy. The first step is to understand why you are playing craps. Craps is gambling, but it can also be called slot machine gambling because there is also an element of luck involved. Some people call it gambling without the pressure of paying real money, and you may want to consider this as an option before you begin.
So, what does this have to do with developing a winning craps strategy? You should always try to calculate the amount of bets you intend to place and to know exactly how much you can lose before you decide to bet. This simple basic craps strategy actually only has a one-percentage house edge. That means that out of every hundred dollars you invest, you are only going to lose one penny. Keep in mind chance factor? You bet on the Pass first and then hope for the best, because with those two numbers alone, you still have a pretty good chance of not losing money.
So, now you know the odds and you know which cards you should keep and which you should cut loose, what are the odds? Well, the odds are that you will win, but remember, the more chips you put into the pot, the greater the chances of you winning, but the longer you wait, the greater the odds that you’ll lose. What can go wrong? Well, there are many small things that can go wrong, such as running out of time (which we discussed in an earlier article), getting triple-triples or better, getting maxed, dealing your “perfect” hand, and many other little things, but we’ll save that for another article.
Now that you know the odds, what is your winning craps strategy? The strategy varies from person to person, because everyone has different skill sets and betting patterns. Some people prefer to play tight, others like to take a risk, and some like to keep it simple, and stick to bets they can easily win. As far as keeping bets within their means, this would be the ideal situation, because then you know your odds are good and you won’t over-spend. However, sometimes you just need to cash in that last little bit of money you had left, or maybe you want to make a last minute bet just to make it happen, then this is where the ‘house edge’ comes into play.
The way I think of it, is that the house always wins, so they always have to make more bets – that’s just how the world works. So how do you win at craps by knowing how much you should bet and when to bet it? Well, the best way to win at craps is to have the best craps strategy, which is why most players who sit at the poker table with a drink in their hands rarely win. In most cases, the people who have the worst strategies and betting habits win every time. If you want to beat the house, you need to know how to bet at craps, and win most of the time.
The best strategy to use, is simple – eliminate the numbers that can possibly win for you, and place your bets on numbers that can make you money, even if they don’t have the best craps betting strategy. For example, let’s say you’re playing craps, and you have this perfect hand of blackjack, river card and straight flush – would you really put all of your chips in on the flop, or would you be OK with putting a little bit on the board because you’ve gotten a strong hand, or maybe a set? There are countless things to consider and remember, so the best way to win at craps is to remember what your game plan is, and then work towards getting the numbers right for you. Of course there are many other things to think about as well, but the above is the most important part of a winning craps strategy. Good luck!
